The original is the apex of the franchise. Mass Effect 2 and 3 positioned themselves at distance from their predecessors, losing much of the franchises established identity as an RPG oriented series, shifting focus onto other components such as combat. Of course, with the game still falling into the genre of RPG (despite losing many of the originals RPG mechanics) the combat is stiff, and whilst good for an RPG, is uninspiring to those of who (such as myself having been playing the Gears of W...
The question is essentially asking, "Is Mass Effect 3 a perfect game?", of which it isn't. It's is a brilliant game, but it has it's flaws. In my personal opinion, it lost a lot of the franchises identity, I miss the originals stronger focus on RPG elements rather than as a shooter, of which it can't contend with shooter oriented titles...
Also, I found Biowares grand promises of choices having an impacting consequence to, again, fail. With the major...
One confusing aspect of the trailers for this games adaptation is regarding the web-swinging, in the majority of shots previewing the component it seems to show that webs don't connect to buildings, which if so, will result in no purchase from me. As an avid reader of Graphic Novels, I prefer dedication to source material...
Spiderman 2 was a truly incredible game, as was Ultimate Spiderman, hopefully The Amazing Spiderman can mirror those games in regards to gameplay.
I bet that CONVENIANTLY the mode appears in the "Super Turbo Ultimate HD Street Fighter X Tekken Edition" of the game and the 360 Community have to buy the game again to gain access to the mode. Capcom sure know how to put poor business decisions above their plunging fanbase...
If that's the case then they should have made time. So many developers are dedicated to given balanced experiences across all consoles and yet Capcom have practically laughed in the faces of the Xbox 360 community, making them pay for two of the exclusive Playstation 3 Exclusive characters, taking an anticipated mode out of the 360 Version. Cap PM's reputation just can't get any lower. And now they're making an exclusive mode (Nemesis) for Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City,...
I'd love to see Unreal Tournament IV as one of the pioneer title's to utilise Unreal Engine 4.
Crytek claimed that "Homefront 2" would be the best game they themselves have ever made ( http://playstationlifestyle... ) so an official reveal of that title would make sense here, especially as the game is targeted for an April 2013 - March 2014 Release window. However, I'd love to see an announcement of Crysis 3 (Preferably announc...
That's just pathetic.
I don't think they should be criticised for taking their time to develop a game, I think the frustrating element regarding this is that they are announcing this information. I would rather they focus on development and concentrate of Advertising and hyping at a later date, just mention a PSVita version of the title, why show rough footage of the game?
Very informative. 343 Industries are proving themselves to be the perfect replacements for Bungie. (Whilst many of the are Ex-Bungie Staff) Their enthusiasm and dedication towards the franchise and the community strongly mirrors that of Bungie's, I am predicting brilliant things from Halo 4. Roll on E3 2012 when we'll inevitably receive our first gameplay demonstrations and official release date...
Whilst I've bought each iPhone since the third, I've never been interested by iPads. I use my iPhone ALL THE TIME (For socialising and Internet on the move, hardly for gaming), but when I need to do College work when away from my PC I have a great laptop to work on.
Whilst I agree with you, what does it say that the best selling games this generation are Call of Duty titles and Kinect Adventure's? :/
Epid tend to use (with the exeption of "Samaritan") the franchise of which they are currently developing for within their tech demo's. Hopefully we can expect to see an Unreal Tournament IV Announcement soon...
Couldn't have put it better myself...
Lack of Support? Support is based upon more than DLC development and release. DICE are one of a select few developers (Others being the likes of Epic Games, Naughty Dog, Bethesda etc) who have been immensely supporting their game through updates, established to assist in balancing of weapons and elimination of bugs and exploits...
Thanks for the update.
There are some truly intriguing and original features of which I, being someone who rarely plays RTS', find greatly interesting. The cover-system, verticality in combat (a gameplay mechanic utilised in the horrendous "Stormrise"), the base, the "glam-cam", the customisable squad members. This is looking surprisingly fantastic...
Despite my lack of interest regarding Modern War First Person Shooters, I cannot deny the games technical flare. Unfortunately, it looks as though EA wanted the title to strongly resemble Battlefield 3, of which slightly mirrors the exchange between Infinity Ward and Treyarch with the Call of Duty franchise. Also, I noticed that DICE's logo isn't utilised in the opening of the trailer, perhaps indicating that Danger Close are themselves developing the multiplayer component for this in...
It only seems to be EA doing this on a regular basis.
